Spring is in “full swing” down here on the farm. Our annual planting of new grass seedings and cornfields has begun. Planting is a process. It requires warm and prepared soil for the seed to grow. Good quality seeds planted in ground that has been plowed, disked, fertilized and cultivated are all parts of our investment towards a future harvest. For us, it takes several people many hours with different types of equipment to get the job done. The Apostle Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 3:5-6, “Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man? I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.” Paul, Apollos and many others were all sharing the good news of the Gospel and investing themselves in the lives of others, and ultimately God is the One whose power saves! Who told you about Jesus and your need for Him? Have you thanked them recently for their investment in you? Whom are you investing in? The Bible says in Matthew 9:37, “The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few.” There is still much “planting” and “watering” to do, so let us join the planting team and work together that we may see many others come to Christ by faith at harvest time!
